Consider again the characteristic BDD shown in the center of Fig. 11.4. Here, the single x 0 node and the leftmost x 1 node can be transformed to their function matrix DD equivalent by applying the general transformation rule. For the remaining x 1 nodes, the methodology for skipped y 1 output variables is applied. Overall, this yields the DD shown on the right-hand side of Fig. 11.4.
